Since 1941 the Winchester Host Lions Club has coordinated the glofiber Grand Feature Parade through the historic streets in Old Town Winchester.  The Grand Feature Parade steps off at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday afternoon and will include four parade divisions. From start to finish the parade is nearly 4 hours long!  

All seats are reserved at ground level and range from $18 to $29.  Reserved and handicap accessible seating is available on the Handley South side (on the Handley Campus), Queen's Courtyard and Garden,  Handley Library and West Cork Street locations.  Handley North is in front of the Judges Stand and offers reserved seating only (no handicap seating.)  

The parade has special and equestrian units, floats, and marching bands. The glofiber Grand Feature Parade features bands like the Quantico Marine Band, Steelers Drumline, community and high school bands from the Mid-Atlantic Region and beyond.  The parade route winds for 1.5 miles through historic Old Town Winchester and passes by the iconic John Handley High School campus.

Bands come from all over the region to compete for the top spot and cash prizes from the $30,000 prize pool!  We have had several bands who come year after year to enjoy the "Springtime Extravaganza"     

Float Awards 

There are Professional and Non-Professional floats who compete in Civic-Service, Business and Communities Participation categories.  

Seats are non-refundable unless Purchase Protection is added at checkout.
